Inspire Studios is a family-owned music and arts school for all ages and abilities, created by musical wellness educators Jason and Cristine Rhodes. The program describes its approach as holistic, prioritizing creativity, individualized learning, and hands-on exploration, with a curriculum that focuses on core enrichment and creative learning and places strong emphasis on music, arts, and STEM. Inspire Studios states that it provides a secular education that does not incorporate faith-based curriculum into teaching, while respecting and welcoming families of all faiths and celebrating the diversity of its community.
The program operates as a flexible learning environment in a microschool setting with mixed-grade levels and offers a hybrid learning model that allows students to attend classes for a chosen number of days while completing the rest of their education at home or online. Inspire Studios notes that it is inspired by Waldorf and Montessori educational approaches, with emphasis on imagination, creativity, respect for diverse cultures, and an individualized approach that allows each child to learn at their own pace. The program focuses on student passion and talent through core classes and extracurricular activities such as music lessons and musical theatre, and it was founded by musicians with a vision to create a place where all children, regardless of age or ability, can find, explore, and further their creative educational journey.
Inspire Studios has been serving Pasco, Hernando, Pinellas, and Hillsborough counties since 2008. Jason Rhodes played drums at a young age and later added piano, and Cristine played clarinet and piano; together they have been teaching music since the early 1990s throughout the Tampa Bay area. Jason and Cristine also founded The Inspire Foundation, a nonprofit that raises money for music and art programs for children with special needs, and Inspire Studios notes that it serves families across Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, and Hillsborough counties, including communities such as Spring Hill, Brooksville, Land O Lakes, Wesley Chapel, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Tampa, Brandon, and several others.
The leadership team includes co-founders and owners Jason Rhodes and Cristine Rhodes, who are described as musicians and musical wellness educators. Their work with The Inspire Foundation has been recognized through several honors, including being chosen as an “Everyday Hero” by Bay News 9, being voted “Hometown Heroes” by WTIS and host Peter O’Shea, receiving a “Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition” for outstanding and invaluable service to the community, and being featured on WEDU Arts Plus Episode 421.
